ENT surgery
Nasal and paranasal sinus surgery (minimally invasive)
Correction of deviated septum
Turbinate hypertrophy and deviated septum.
Left: prior to surgery, Right: after surgery
The deviation of the septum but also turbinate hypertrophy can lead to impeded nasal breathing, mouth breathing with sore throat, sinusitis or ventilation problems of the ear. With radio frequency-aided operating methods and new micro-invasive fixation methods at the septum these surgical procedures cannot only be done in our outpatient department but also preferably without tamponing the nose. We will be happy to advise you on our latest surgery methods.
Paranasal sinus surgery
If endoscopic and imaging methods like CT scanning detect a chronic sinusitis that cannot be cured with medication, paranasal sinus surgery is required to heal the disease. Thanks to our comprehensive university-hospital-based track record in surgery this is carried out minimally invasive according to the latest standards as a combined microscopical / endoscopical procedure or a combined radio frequency / laser-aided procedure. Almost all of these surgical procedures can be done without hospitalisation and without any nasal tamponade. The overall goal is always to keep the perioperative discomfort as low as possible and the healing period as short as possible.
